The List - UPDATE

A full season has passed and Anastasia and I keep crossing things off of our list.  If you have no idea what I'm talking about, 6 months ago, I blogged about our bucket list.  It's a list of things my wife and I want to accomplish before....you know....the next adventure.

Well we've been working hard at it!  Last year it seemed like we were crossing off goals left and right.  Lately it seems that we've slowed down a bit but then I realized it's because the remaining things are pretty HUGE!  

This past April, we vacationed in Australia!  Oh my goodness it was amazing.  I had gone there in 2009 to volunteer for an amazing youth leadership organization called Rising Generations.  I was only there for 9 days back then but the culuture, the beauty, the food and most importantly the people made me want to return.  So we hung out in Sydney for a majority of the week, reuniting with wonderful friends but we also took some time to fly up North to swim in the Great Barrier Reef.  I saw Nemo.  

More recently, we crossed another big one off of the list:  SKYDIVING.  For those of you who don't know...I love aviation.  I'd been meaning to go skydiving since I turned 18 but had just never gotten around to it.  Maybe it's because I spent four years of college learning how to keep airplanes and their passengers safe.  Ironic.  Anyway, we went out to the airstrip, received about 15 minutes of solid instruction, strapped up to a new friend and stepped out of a plane at 12,000 ft.  I was surprised how relaxed I was.  Usually when someone tells you that you're going to be falling through the sky at 120 MPH, your heart starts to beat a little faster, your brow starts to perspire and you start to rethink your life decisions.  All I can remember is turning around and looking into the cockpit to see all the pretty instruments and buttoms.  Ok, I'm a nerd.  I openly admit it.  

Two more down!  We don't have a timeline to this but I would imagine that in the near future, you may see most of these crossed off!  :)

• Own a puppy
• Go to Maine
• Go to Outer Banks
• Visit friends in Washington
• Go skydiving
• Go whitewater rafting
• Start a Garden
• Buy a Home of our very own!
• Go skiing/snowboarding in Colorado!
• Ride in a hot air balloon
• Learn a different language
