STLF Begins Second Summer Internship Program!

STLF staff is up to double digits for the summer as Ellie, Lucas, and Michelle join the office!

Summer is an exciting time around our office, in addition to our June programming, we have officially kicked off our second summer internship program. Our small staff continues to grow with the addition of three summer interns, Ellie, Michelle, and Lucas. After a quick day of orientation and settling in at the office, these three have done a phenomenal job of blending right in with the office.

Ellie, Michelle, and Lucas bring several years and a variety of STLF experience and valuable knowledge to our staff. They have all been dedicated volunteers serving in many leadership roles at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Illinois State University. We are all very excited to have them around for the next three months. They are responsible for some key components of our organization, and prove the capacity and ability of young Millennials. It is exciting to have such young and talented people involved in the organization at all levels—participants, leadership, and paid staff!

The interns will all be working hard this summer, and hopefully learning a lot. Ellie will be coordinating and managing our annual event in October. Michelle is developing new marketing strategies and materials for the upcoming year. Lucas is helping our program core to execute summer tours, and develop strategy and processes for meeting our growth goals for the coming year.

There is a lot of work to be done, but also a lot of fun to be had. While we shape the future of our growing organization, we also look forward to an exciting summer with fresh new faces in the office. Feel free to stop by the office and join the fun!
