College Pay It Forward Tour 2009 is in the News!

Storm interrupts Ohio students’ goodwill mission
Of the hundreds of vehicles that slid off Richmond area roads last night, perhaps none less deserved the insult of immobility than a busload of college students from the Cleveland area...
The bus got underway after waiting about 90 minutes for a tow truck. The student volunteers, part of the Minneapolis-based nonprofit group Students Today Leaders Forever, spent the time singing songs and making light of their plight...
"You can tell we pretty much go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens," said student bus leader Abby Gehring, cocking an ear toward the singing students in the back of the bus. "We're trained to deal with about anything." The group plans to do good deeds at a half-dozen stops before making it to Florida for spring break...

gray and white to an aging Macon home off Montpelier Avenue...
“These are angels. It makes me want to cry,” White said. “I can’t ask for nothing else. ... It’s just hard to put into words. It means the world to me.”

Students Embark on Tour to Help Others
About 30 students left Bemidji Friday afternoon on the weeklong tour, which is sponsored by Students Today Leaders Forever, a nonprofit organization that originated at the University of Minnesota in 2004. The STLF mission is to reveal leadership through service, relationships and action...
“We all went on the trip last spring for the first time – that’s where we all met each other,” Meehlhause said, adding that they didn’t know what to expect the first time around. “We came out of it as friends and we decided that we wanted to lead one of these tours someday,” he said....
