Longtime supporter and STLF parent Pam Holsinger-Fuchs tells why her family gives to STLF.

We are embarking on a campaign to engage parents in STLF in the month of May. All parent donations in May are being matched in full by the David Winton Bell Foundation. In addition, there are many opportunities for parents to contribute their time and knowledge to help STLF. Please take a minute to learn more, make a donation, and read below as STLF supporter and parent Pam Holsinger-Fuchs tells why her family supports STLF.
I give money to STLF when I can. My mother-in-law just made a quilt for the Fall auction to help raise money. Why do we do this? As a parent I have two daughters and two nieces who have gone on Pay It Forward tours. I have seen the students get on the bus as one person and get off the bus as an entirely different person. My daughters have also been involved in the STLF camp and I now have friends whose kids will be attending this summer.
I have also been fortunate to go on two Pay it Forward Tours as well. The group was also so inspirational to me that I ended up using it as the focus for my doctoral work! I have seen the life changing impact that STLF has had on the lives of my own family and other students. The world needs a group like STLF with its empowering message of hope.
There are students that don't have the chance to participate due to financial limitations. I have also worked side by side with the students that volunteer their time and sacrifice to be involved. I give a little to the group when I can because my little may also make a difference to these students and the communities that they come in contact with. Think about your ability to give and the impact that your gift may have in ways that you may never know about.
