And they're off!
STLF Co-Founder Nick Lindberg can often be found on weekends pursuing his other passion - drag racing!
Author: Brian Peterson, STLF
While all of us here at STLF are incredibly passionate and committed to our work, we all also recognize the importance of other hobbies and passions in our lives. It's safe to say we are all pretty passionate people in general, so often times these "hobbies" become a really big part of our lives.
And so begins the story of one of STLF's co-founders - Nick Lindberg. Ever since he was a little tike, he has been fascinated with cars, tractors, engines, or anything of the sort. He grew up spending weekends with his dad at the race track, and long dreamed of owning his own race car and racing on his own.
A little over a year ago, that dream came true. Last year, Nick had saved up just enough money over many years to purchase the car of his dreams - an 1985 Chevy Camaro - and has been working on it ever since continuously getting/keeping it race ready. This year - in just his second year of drag racing - he found himself in the season points lead going into the last race of the season in the Street Eliminator class at the Rock Falls Raceway!!!
The big last race was on Sunday, and would determine the final results for the season. It was a special day for me to finally see what this racing was all about, and glad to have picked an exciting one! Check out the video to see how it all shook out!
Keep on living your dreams Nickers!
