Meet the new Co-Executive Director Guff Van Vooren!
Get the Goods on Guff
Hi STLF Family,
I’m so jazzed to serve your organization and mission work with all of you! As a future STLFer, I’d like to thank all of you for creating and growing such an amazing organization. From the co-founders; to past and present board members, staff, and student volunteers; to donors and community partners; the magic you’ve created together inspires me as I embark on my next dream adventure as Co-Executive Director of STLF!
I am passionate about providing volunteers, including youth, with opportunities to make a difference in the world and to unleash their leadership potential. As a life-long learner, I seek adventure everyday and I delight in team-oriented initiatives and relationship building. I hope my diverse work experience in fields ranging from public accounting, to hospitality guest services, to my non-profit efforts involving volunteerism and youth outdoor education will benefit STLF as it aims to reach its 5-year goal to double in size in 2016. I’m energized to be part of the next stage leadership that helps STLF grow mindfully, sustainably, and strong, both internally and externally. My passion for serving this organization and its constituents (including you!) will guide all decisions I make with the STLF team.
I’d like to send big kudos to Brian Peterson, my predecessor, as I transition into his role. As a co-founder and leader of this organization Brian has made an indelible mark on the volunteers, partners, and communities that STLF serves. I’ve got big shoes to fill and look forward to this wonderful opportunity. I wish Brian the best of luck as he transitions into his next life adventure. I will look to him his fellow co-founders, and all of you for guidance and inspiration in my new role.
As I embark on this adventure, please let me know how I can help you in your role with STLF. Your support is critical to the success of this organization and I am eager to make your experience the best it can be!
