Last Word of STLF’s Mission: ACTION

To reveal leadership through service, relationships, and action.  Action alludes to living lives of leadership and service.

Eric Larsen is an excellent example of this, as he spends his time traveling, learning, serving, and definitely giving.

Life is fun when things entwine, showing the interconnectedness of the world.  I have the opportunity to sit on the esteemed Board of Directors for the Charities Review Council.  Our mission centers on helping nonprofit accountability, informing donors, and mobilizing these groups to work together.  I received an eNewsletter from the Charities Review Council today, to find a good friend and long-time STLFer highlighted… Eric Larsen!

Eric shared the importance of giving and his answers involved a lot of STLF and a lot of the Charities Review Council.  For me, this affirms the benefit of both organizations, while reminding me of the value of getting involved with other organizations .  

This brings me to the title of this entry, emphasizing the last word of STLF’s mission statement: ACTION.  This includes action within our own lives, for our families, and with our communities.  I have immense happiness in my life.  A significant portion of this happiness can be attributed to my volunteer commitments, and how I continue to live this word ACTION in my daily life.
