All in 2 Weeks!

Over the past 2 weeks, 640 students took part in a Pay It Forward Tour, serving in 51 communities!

In three years, from 2003 to 2006, STLF had 588 people on Pay it Forward Tours.  In a 14 day span in October, STLF had 640 people on Pay it Forward Tours.  We sent out more people in TWO WEEKS than we did the first three years of STLF’s existence.  That is phenomenal!!

It’s a later night at the office as I write this, and I smile in awe as I reflect on what young people can accomplish.  STLF was founded off late nights and big dreams.  I am proud to say that this is still true today.

I am truly indebted to everyone who has been part of STLF.  Of course, to those who believed when it was just an idea, those who created when there wasn’t much to stand on, and those who supported when it didn’t make sense to.

I would also like to include those who criticized, questioned, and challenged—to them, WE ALL must thank.  They pushed STLF to be an organization that aspires to continually innovate, progress, and strengthen.  For STLF, there is always a new way of thinking and viewing the world, and everyone’s voice matters.

We stand firmly BESIDE our Core Model as an effective leadership method, BEHIND the leadership of our students, and WITH you all to collectively impact this world for the better.  One Tour at a time, one student at a time, one dream at a time.

“[STLF] cannot do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good [STLF] can do.”  I am humbled every day by the power of youth, and I am extremely lucky to serve in this role.  Thank you for the opportunity!  Let the good times roll.
