North Dakota HS Tours - October 22-26!

Congrats to all who were involved in the North Dakota High School Pay It Forward Tours, and thanks to all who were involved. Over 310 people joined together in Kansas City, MO, after serving in 24 cities all across the Midwest.

300 Students. 25 Communities. 5 Days. 1 Mission.
Eight buses and over 300 students will be using their fall break (NDEA) to travel and serve in communities across the Midwest on their way to Kansas City, MO. All Tours are departing from different communities around the state, and each will visit three cities on separate routes to Kansas City. Each Tour will travel to and serve in four communities on the Tour, and students will experience one or two college visits as well. All 300+ students will come together on the last day for service and celebration in Kansas City!

STLF Partnering with High Schools to Make Tours Possible.
The Tour is being made possible through a collaboration between STLF and numerous high schools across the state of North Dakota. Each Tour is carried out in partnership with a high school, and a representative of the school district is present on all Tours. While each trip will consist primarily of students from the sponsoring high school, each is also open to students from any school. All are welcome.

Tours Departing from Several North Dakota Communities!
Each High School Pay It Forward Tour over NDEA break will depart from various communities in North Dakota. The following departure communities are:

  • Fargo, ND - Fargo South HS (2 buses)
  • Fargo, ND - West Fargo HS (1 bus)
  • Fargo, ND - Shanley, Oak Grove (1 bus)
  • Grand Forks, ND - Central (1 bus)
  • Grand Forks, ND - Red River (1 bus)
  • Wahpteon, ND - Wahpeton HS(1 bus)
  • Wyndmere, ND - Wyndmere HS (1 bus)

Tour Dates and Registration - Register Early to Ensure Your Spot.
These Tours will take place from October 22-26, 2008. There are eight separate routes, all of which are open to students from any school. The students will meet up in Kansas City to share stories and serve together. Each bus is limited to 35 students, and registration is first come, first served. Sign up early to be a part of this exciting opportunity to serve and lead.

Cost & Financial Aid- Sign up Early to Secure Early Registration Rate.
The registration fee for the Tour can vary depending upon how soon you sign up for the Tour - the earlier the better! There are three different rates: Early-Bird Rate, Normal Rate, and Late Registration Rate. The three are listed below:

  • Early Registration Rate (before Sept. 26): $265
  • Normal Rate: $280
  • Late Registration Rate (after Oct 15): $300

Limited Need-based Financial Aid Available upon Request:
There is a limited amount of need-based financial aid available. If you are in a situation in which you cannot afford the full cost of the Tour, please contact us at info@stlf.net for a financial aid application to apply for a partial cost reduction.

Also, please consider efforts to raise funds from family, friends, or others in your community to help support your Pay It Forward Tour experience. Any amount you can raise will allow STLF to provide financial assistance to more students in need.
